Bobby Fischer had a four bedroom apartment to himself in a bad neighborhood in Brooklyn's Bedford-Sty District. He had a collection of 200 chess books which he read from cover to cover. He had 3 beds, each with a chess set beside it, and he slept in a different bed each night.
