Alekhine Re-embraced
Post Mortem
n    Curiously, after 3 decades of villification, Alekine was rehabilitated in the 1950s as seen in Kotov's book on the Soviet Chess School.  He is there represented as a great Russian player in the tradition of Tchigorin (the semi-mythical founder of the Soviet School), who lost his way.  But, Kotov assures us, at the end of his life he realized his errors and died Missing  his homeland.
