Parents can either drop off their kids or use our fast internet computers to do internet work. We offer super responsible supervision to kids playing in our tournaments.

Main Event Tournaments

 

November 1st, 2003

BlackKnight Open House (* Free Event)

Parent and kids Open house. Free tournament for the kids and parents to play in. Giant set, barbecue and drinks, and Chess Master Liina will be playing 25 games at one time, with a prize for any adult or child who can beat her! Open to all Academic Chess students and their parents.

November 8th, 2003

Academic Chess Fall Championship

USCF Rated Octo tournament (8 Rounds)

Game in 45 minutes (clocks are optional)

Score keeping is mandatory, pencils and score sheets will be provided.

Free Tournament preparation lesson 11:30 -12:00

12:00 - 5:00

Black Knights Chess Center Auditorium

$25 Entry Fee $20 for kids currently enrolled in Academic Chess

Every kid gets a Club Special chess set and board as a participation prize.

K-12

Sections will be divided by age level.

Huge trophies and prizes are awarded in each section.

Trophies will also be rewarded for top schools.

Weekly Tournaments

Weekly tournaments have much smaller turn out and are ideal situations for kids serious about chess

Quad Rules

Each player plays in a section of 4 people of similiar level. Each player plays the other 3 people in his section.

Prize Money tournament for Adults and advanced kids $50 prize in each 4 player section

Entry Fee $25 Before the first day of the tournament $30 drop in same day

Special: Pre-pay for 6 quads for $125
